David Judd, 83, passed away in Albuquerque, New Mexico on April 1, 2010. David was born to Max and Florence (Weitz) Judd on September 28, 1926 in Denver, Colorado. David served in the Navy during WWII and was recalled to serve in the Korean Conflict. David worked 40 years at Sandia National Laboratories and retired in 1993 as a Computer Programmer/Analyst. He was an avid Stamp collector. David was a passionate craftsman and fine woodworker. He also built a beautiful home in the mountains. He loved to play his clarinet and saxophone as a member of the band 'Die Polka Schlingel' and had been a member of the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra. David was a long time (30+ years) member of the New Mexico Corvette Association and held many offices. The office that he enjoyed the most was that of Club Information Administrator (CIA), which he held until his passing. David and his wife Helga made many trips to Corvette Shows and events throughout the country. David raced his corvette into his late 70's. He is survived by his wife, Helga; children, Sandi Coyle, Lorrie Boren, Terri Judd, Debbie Bowman and her husband Curtis, and Gary Lane; his brother Dan and his wife Julie; David was the proud grandfather of Seth Coyle, Elizabeth (Ellie) Boren, Cullin Coyle and Ray Bowman; He was uncle to Sherry Moeller, Jacki Judd, Rick and Suzanne Judd; as well as great-nieces and nephews; David is also survived by cousin Mel and Dorothy Bernstein, Roger Ginsburg and many friends. While David was not a large man, he had a big heart and compassion for everyone. David will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A celebration of David's life will be held at the Albuquerque Marriott Pyramid North, 5151 San Francisco Road, NE on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
