Capt. Haig Bodour, SC (Supply Corps), USNR (Ret), 70, passed away, Monday, February 1, 2010 in Houston, Texas, after a courageous battle against lymphoma. He was born October 30, 1939 in Fort Worth to Angele and Harry Bodour, survivors of the Armenian genocide. Haig received a BA and Masters from the UNM where he was in the ROTC program and a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity. He married his college sweetheart, Sharon Kathleen "Kathy" Riley. Haig owned and operated the Old Town Copy and Office Supply on Central Avenue and Bodour Enterprise Real-estate Broker. Haig was member of the Association of the United States Navy where he served as VP of the National Budget and Finance Committee. Haig was president of The Opera Guilds of New Mexico and active in the Albuquerque chapter. He was also an avid supported the Albuquerque Opera, Albuquerque Symphony and the Santa Fe Opera. Haig is survived by Kathy, his wife; son, Armen Francis Bodour of Fairfax, Virginia; daughter, Adria Angele Bodour-Romo and husband, Reggie Romo of San Antonio, Texas; mother-in-law, Frances Riley of Albuquerque; brother, Edward Harry Bodour of Austin; sister Alice Galoostian and husband, Josef of Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews. Please join the Bodour family in remembering Haig at a Military Memorial Service on April 16, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
