Susie M. Romero, 84, passed away Friday, March 26, 2010. She was a long time resident of Albuquerque. Susie was born in Denver, Colorado on December 27, 1926. Susie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Charles Romero. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Rose Bustos; step-father, Celedon Bustos and her older brother, Fred Chavez. She is survived by her children, Fred Bustos, Rosanne Jaramillo and husband, Andy, Charles G. Romero, Mark Romero and wife, Dianne, Maximilliano Romero and wife, Toby and Chris Romero. She is also survived by her 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and nephews, nieces and cousins. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 811 Guaymas Pl NE. A Requiem Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Serving as pallbearers are Jeff Bustos, Nicholas Bustos, Randy Chavez, Jonathan Jaramillo, Casey Romero and Derek Romero.
