Louise Huybrechts of Albuquerque passed away on March 18, 2010. She was born in Stabroek, Belgium on January 14, 1919 to Felix and Elizabeth (Van Bouwel) Janssens. Louise graduated from St. Agnes College in Antwerp, Belgium with degrees in Fashion Design and Home Economics. Following graduation, she taught at the same college until she, her husband and children moved to the United States in 1952. Louise is survived by her husband of 62 years, August J. Huybrechts, her children; Dirk and wife Jeanne Huybrechts of Los Angeles, California, Frank and wife Linda Huybrechts of Oak Park, California, Ralph and wife Gay Nell Huybrechts of Albuquerque, Paul Huybrechts of Los Angeles, California and Miette and husband George Michie of Charlottesville, Virginia; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a brother Louis of Belgium. A sister in law Julia also of Belgium and many nieces and nephews. A private memorial was held for the family with a public memorial service to be announced at a later date.
