Prior to retiring in Albuquerque, Warren lived in Upstate New York, where he was employed as a representative of a technical company. He retired in 1983. He had a passion for electronics, and could repair anything from a TV to a computer. His love for animals was well-known. His garage was the gathering place for his veteran neighbors. The open garage door was a sign that "Warren was there" and they would chat for hours. Cremation has taken place and a private Military funeral was held in Santa Fe National Cemetery.
