Carmine J. Russo, Sr., 86, passed away at Kaseman Presbyterian Hospice on March 3, 2101. He was born on June 15, 1923 in Corona, NY the son of Liberante and Nancy (Greco) Russo. Mr. Russo was a resident of Albuquerque since 1948. Carmine spent 42 years in the electrical trade. He was a contractor and owner of Quality Electric and later served as an Electrical Inspector for the City of Albuquerque. He attended Harrion High School Aviation Annex, the Stinson School of Aeronautics; and he completed advanced electrical education in an apprenticeship program at UNM. Carmine was also a member of the IEBW. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lily. Other survivors are L. John Russo, Carmine Russo, Jr. and wife Jackie, Al Russo, Emerson Cole, Kusum Prabhakar, MD, and Nancy Vigil and husband Frank; eight grandchildren; David Russo, Dominick Russo, Alyssa Russo, Kayla Russo, Eli Vigil, Adele Vigil Karoum, Shawna Russo, Sonia Russo; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Katherine Occhipinti of New York. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Wyoming Blvd Chapel with a Scripture service to follow at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens.
