Toni Irene Smith, age 61, loving wife, mother, grammie, daughter, sister, aunt, nina, niece, cousin, teacher, and friend was called to be with God on February 23, 2010. Born in Albuquerque July 30, 1948 she returned to Albuquerque nine years ago to be close to family. She was preceded in death by her brother Rick; and gram Angelina. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years Ken Smith; her son Chris (Kristi) of Albuquerque; daughter Nadine; grandsons Jacob, Ethan, and Caleb Smith; parents Gilbert and Margarita Ramirez of Albuquerque; sister Lynn (Paul) Gonzalez of Corpus Christi TX; brothers, David (Carol) Ramirez of Lakeland FL, and Ernie (Nancy) Ramirez of Albuquerque; sister-in-law Elaine (Sherwood) Beckham of Wiggins MS. And many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends. She taught in the parochial school system both in Albuquerque at Queen of Heaven, St. Therese, and Annunciation. And in Charleston SC at St. John. A Viewing and Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with Rosary following on Sunday February 28, 2010 at French Lomas Chapel. Services will be celebrated on Monday March 1, 2010, 8:30 a.m., at Our Lady of the Annunciation Church, 2621 Vermont NE. Entombment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. John school in Charleston SC, Queen of Heaven, St. Therese, or Annunciation School in Albuquerque, NM.
