Obituary for FEILD

Claire Marie (Maisel) Feild, born February 10, 1923 and died February 16, 2010. Of father, Nicholas James Maisel and mother, Grace Beatrice Slagle whom raised their family in Baltimore, MD. She and her husband, Terry Trimble Feild, formally of Little Rock, AR were married for over 50 years when he passed in Arlington, VA in 1996. She is survived by her daughter, Carole Lynn and son-in-law, Byron Clark. Formerly a resident of Arlington, VA, Claire moved to NM in 2006 to be close to her family and for care, and is survived by Jane Talbot (niece) and her husband, Chuck Brink of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her brother, William "Bill" Harrison Maisel and survived by her sister-in-law, Donna Maisel of Florida. Her other New Mexico family included sister-in-law, Eleanor Jane Talbot Feild (passed 2004) and her husband, John David Dunlop (passed 2003) of Alamogordo. Other family members include nieces and nephews living in NC, NM, Arizona, IL, Texas and Arkansas. She lived happily as an Army wife all over the world. She belonged as a lifelong member to the American Legion Auxiliary Post#139 in Arlington and the VFW John Lyon Post of Alexandria, VA. She was a graduate of Forest Park High School and Stratford College of Baltimore, MD. She was employed for many years by the Personal Finance C. of Baltimore and employed in Tokyo, Japan with the Air Force Pacific Command (post WWII). Claire lived with her family on many Army posts in the United States as well as Japan, Germany, Austria and Greece. The family moved to Arlington, VA with Col. Feild's final assignment at the Pentagon. Their lives then included retirement, travel, golf and the company of friends from all over the world.
