Obituary for STOREY

Robert B. Storey (July 20, 1921 February 17, 2010) Bob died peacefully at home after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Mary Quintana Storey; by his parents, Toribia Baca Storey and Jesus Storey; and by his son Robert E. Storey. He is survived by his three sons, Charles, Christopher and Mark Storey; by his three grandchildren, Alex, Anthony, and Jim Storey; and by his three great-grandchildren, Anthony Valenzuela, Lola Storey, and Enrique Storey. Other members of the immediate family include, David Livingston, Rose Barrett-Storey, Sandra Sanchez Quintana, and Theresa Cedillo Storey. The love of many caring individual allowed Bob to achieve his goal of dying at home. Unstinting support was provided by Margaret and Willy Chavez, and by Sandra and Leroy Quintana. The love of Eva Romero Silva and her family was of tremendous importance to Bob during the last four months of his life. His family is very grateful for the warmth and support of the residents and staff of Paloma Landing, especially Martha and Rick Woesch. The family is also very grateful to the staff of ElderCare Solutions and of Hospice de La Luz. Bob was known throughout the state of New Mexico, because of his work with the New Mexico Farm and Livestock Bureau as both a grass-roots organizer and as a lobbyist.
