Obituary for LAURITZEN

Eilleen Goodwin passed away on February 11, 2010 in Houston, Texas. She was born to Wade and Edna Goodwin on July 8, 1917 in Southland, TX. When she was a very young girl, her family moved to Arroyo Blanco, New Mexico and two years later to Gallina, New Mexico and in 1928 to Santa Fe, New Mexico. She was a student at Loretto Girls School. In 1942, she took a job as a riveter in the Boeing Aircraft Plant in San Diego, CA, as a "Rosy the Riveter" assembling B-25 bombers for the remainder of World War II. She was wed to William Lauritzen in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1947, and made her first home in Idaho. She returned to Santa Fe in 1953 where she and Bill resided until 1975, moving then to Albuquerque for the next 22 years. In 1997 she and Bill moved to Houston to be near their son, Chris. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her son Mark William, and her brothers, Irving and Donald Goodwin. She is survived by husband of 62 years, William Lauritzen; her son Chris; grandchildren Alexis, Hannah, and Daniel; her brother Zane Goodwin of Albuquerque; and several nephews.
