Cleo Winifred (Thatcher) 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior, surrounded by family on Sunday, January 10, 2010 in Sherman Oaks, California. She was born on March 7, 1920, in Richmond, Indiana, to her parents, Cleo and Beulah (Rogers) Thatcher. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Donald Martin Bookwalter, the father of her six children; and her sister, Delores Thatcher Mosey. She leaves with cherished memories two daughters, Sharon (Bookwalter) Barlow of Xenia, OH, Tere (Bookwalter) Moore of Centerville, OH; four sons, Martyn Bookwalter of Los Angeles, CA, Fred Bookwalter of Yuma, AZ, Robert and Joseph Bookwalter of Albuquerque, NM; 13 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She had a passion for fine art, was a master of pastels and involved herself for many years with the New Mexico Art League.
