George Marwin Austin, born February 2, 1916, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 19, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Arlette Austin; children Marilyn Tetzlaff and husband Hal of Maplewood, MN, Harriet Grim and husband Don of Buna, TX, Lorrayne Austin of Albuquerque, Diane Viau and husband Dave of Clear Lake, WI, and Glenda Austin of Albuquerque; grandchildren Randy and wife Beth, Kristin and husband Lloyd, Dan and wife Gretchen, Debbie and husband Robbie, Chris and wife Stacy, Kim, Don and Elise; and 13 great-grandchildren. Mr. Austin worked at Sandia Labs for 31 years. He volunteered for Noon Day Ministries for 20 years. He was a charter member of the Young at Heart Choir. Mr. Austin was a member of Hoffmantown Church for 30 years. A service will be held Wednesday, February 24 at 11:00 am at Hoffmantown Church, 8888 Harper Drive NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary- University, Tuesday, February 23 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
