Curtis Ozzie Moore, Sr. was born April 17, 1949 in Hardaway, AL to Lobelia Linnie Moore. Curtis moved to Frisco City, AL in 1954 to live with his late aunt Essie Moore Logan, whom he affectionately called Momma. In his early years he found Christ and united with the Mt. Triumph Baptist Church in Uriah, AL, where he was an active member. After completion of High School in 1967 from Union High in Clausell, AL, he joined the military. After spending several years in California and completing his military duties, he moved to Albuquerque where he met and married his wife, Ofelia. Curtis is survived by his loving wife, Ofelia Moore of the family home, and loving step daughter, Lee Ann; mother, Lobelia M. Wilson; sister, Geraldine S. Matthews, all of Frisco City, AL; children, Erica Moore Carter (Jeff), Curtis O. Moore, Jr. (Taneshia), Natasha Moore Cottrell(John), Akina Moore, all of Salisbury, NC and Nigel D. Moore (Jennifer) of Riverdale, CA six grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; former wife, Bridgette McMillian as well as a host of great friends. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 17, at 10:00 a.m. at French-Westside Chapel with a reception to follow.
