Obituary for VREDENBURGH

Lt. Col. William O. Vredenburgh, US Army ret., 89, passed away February 6, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Georgia (Tillery) Vredenburgh; his son, Dr. Jesse W. Vredenburgh and his wife Terry, of Corpus Cristy, TX; one grandchild, Jesse Vredenburgh; five step-children, Gayle Pedrick, George Tillery, Gary Tillery, Glen Tillery, and Gena Hoagland; 13 step-grandchildren; two great step-grandchildren; brother, Robert Vredenburgh and his wife Betty; two sisters, Gertrude McLean and her husband Charlie, and Joan Harris and her husband Ransom. William was preceded in death by his first wife of 34 years, Mildred (Munsel) Vredenburgh in 1978, three brothers, Fletcher, Richard, and Edmond. He was a graduate of the Baylor University Law School, May of 1955 with an LLB Degree, and later receiving a J.D. degree in 1969. William taught middle school English. He is a Retired US Army Lt. Col., Civitan Pres, Boy Scout Master, member of the Immanuel Presbyterian Church and attended Sandia Baptist Church. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2010, from 4:00 - 6:00 pm, at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Wyoming Chapel. A Memorial will be held Thursday, February 11, 2010, at 1:00 pm, also at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Wyoming Chapel.
