Phyllis Castillo, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 4, 2010. She is survived by her mother, Margaret Castillo; life partner Michael Martinez of Los Lunas; sisters Frances Horton, Marilyn Castillo-Sanchez and husband Chris, Christine Castillo; nieces Melissa Cavalier and husband Jesse, Mariah Diesel-Jones and husband Charles, Jessica Horton; nephews James Sanchez, Nathan Diesel and wife Lindsey; and several great-nieces and nephews. Phyllis was preceded in death by her father Frank Castillo and brother Randy Castillo. Ms. Castillo was a graduate of West Mesa High School where she was a cheerleader. She went on to be her family's cheerleader, celebrating their accomplishments, particularly her brother Randy who played drums for Ozzy Ozbourne and many other rock bands. She had a great love for her dogs who were like her children. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. Family and friends may gather on Tuesday, February 9 at 11:00 a.m. at French - University Chapel, to celebrate Phyllis' life. She will be entombed next to her brother at Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Her pallbearers will be Chris Sanchez, James Sanchez, Nathan Diesel, Tony Garcia, Linda Lucero and Christine Castillo. Honorary pallbearer will be Michael Martinez.
