Obituary for JAQUEZ

Salvador Jaquez "Sal", 64, passed away in Colorado Springs, CO, where he had resided for many years. Cremation took place in Colorado Springs. He married Maria Russell, who survives him along with children. He is also survived by a daughter, Cristina of Albuquerque, NM, from a previous marriage. Surviving him also are eight siblings. Two brothers and their spouses as follows: Jim and Connie from Roswell, Joe and Patricia from Hobbs; six sisters and their spouses: Pina and Lalo Rocha from Houston, TX, Maria Hernandez from Anthony, NM, Carmen and Daniel Brito from Artesia, Juana and Sam Bejarano from Artesia, Josie and Ted Martinez from Odessa, TX, Jessie and Chavelo from Artesia. He was preceded in death by his parents Santigo and Patricia Jaquez; one brother, Manuel; one sister, Toni. Sal served his country during the Viet-Nam War and was awarded numerous medals. A mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Memorial Service at Woodbine Cemetery in Artesia at 2:00 p.m. Refreshments following at the parish hall at the church.
