James Arthur Britton age 79. Born in Willard, Ohio on October 28, 1930, one of 15 children, passed away on January 23, 2010 in the care of the Albuquerque, NM VA Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Ernestina Britton; and his eight children, Jim and Susan Britton, Debby Keel, Theresa and Randy Smith, Elizabeth and Thomas Benton, Arthur Britton, Christopher and Yolanda Britton, Debra and Ronald Lamb, and Patricia Navarrete, and many grand and great-grandchildren. Art was deeply loved by family and friends. He served with the US Army in the Korean War. He received the Honorable Purple Heart, Korean Service Medal, W/3 Bronze campaign stars, Combat Infantry Badge, and United Nations Service Medal. Art was a long time Albuquerque resident and was prominent in the Real-estate, trucking, motel, and restaurant businesses for many years. French's Mortuary will perform the cremation, and the interment is planned at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in the spring.
