Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Thursday January 14, 2010

Clarence 'Pop' Galassini was received by his Lord Jesus on January 10, 2010. The grief of our temporary separation is met with the joyous celebration that Pop no longer "sees as in a mirror dimly but now face to face; what he once knew only in part, he now knows fully even as he has been fully known" (1Cor. 13:12). Clarence was born in Bernalillo, New Mexico, August 12, 1926. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Navy from 1942-45. Clarence retired from the Public Service Company of NM after 30 years of service and enjoyed woodworking and entertaining his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Angelo & Teresa Galassini, brother Johnnie and sister Dorothy Roberson. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marjorie; son, Dr. Daniel (Jerryl) Galassini; daughter, Karen (Robert) Bryant. He also had eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, January 15, 2010 at 10:30 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church located at 1502 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
