Thomas Matthew Brooks, 19, a resident of Rio Rancho for 19 years went home to his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 9, 2010. He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Patty Brooks; his sister, Sarah; his grandparents, George and Gail Brooks; grandmother, Carolyn Brooks; his uncles, George Brooks, Cary Brooks and wife Erin; and cousins Caleb and Lily, all of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Viola and Clyde Cox of Saginaw, MI. Thomas graduated from Rio Rancho High School in 2008 and was a sophomore in electrical engineering at New Mexico Tech in Socorro, NM. He would have become the next Ironman. Thomas was member of Sagebrush Community Church in Albuquerque, NM. He was a wonderful friend and truly wonderful Christian. We have all been blessed by The Lord allowing us to be his earthly family. Services will be held at Hoffmantown Church, 8888 Harper Dr. NE, Albuquerque, NM, on Thursday, January 14, 2010, at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
