Jennie Chavez passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, January 8, 2010. She was preceded in death by her brother, Remigio Benevides; and sister, Margie Martinez. She is survived by her husband, Pete D. Chavez; sons, Michael Chavez and wife, Martha, Ruben Chavez and wife, Rita, and David Chavez; daughters, Judy and husband, Joey Candelaria, and Michelle Chavez; sister, Beatrice Chavez and husband, Robert; sisters-in-law, Carmen Baros and husband, Orlando, Yolanda Paulos and husband, Tony, and Rosemary Matilla and husband, Scott; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her nieces, nephews and Godchildren. Pallbearers were Gary Chavez, Kenny Chavez, Nathan Dooley, Andrew Chavez, Aaron Ross and Jerome Candelaria. Honorary pallbearers were Dominic Chavez, Jonathan Chavez and Donovan Quintana. The family would like to thank all of their relatives and friends who attended the Rosary and Funeral services.
