Lillie "Billie" Bell Butler, age 93, born in Bridgeport, TX, and a resident of Belen, NM, since 1941, passed away on Friday, January 08, 2010. She was a loving and caring mother. Billie enjoyed playing cards, doing arts and crafts, working in her garden and playing golf. She loved the holidays, especially Christmas and would decorate every room in her house. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, JR Butler; four sisters, Anne Fox "Jack" of Roswell, NM, Linnie Mullenex "Bill" of Artesia, NM, Helen Langley and Edith both of Roswell; brother, Sam Hart of Loving, NM and one grandson, Dean Butler. Billie is survived by her four loving sons, Bob and wife, Shirley, Ron and wife, Susie all of Belen, Steve and wife, Jan of Poulsbo, WA and Jim of Costa Rica; grandchildren, Kim and Max Coffey, Jimmy Jack and Jerry Butler all of Belen and Hilary of Seattle, WA and great-grandchildren, Rhiannon Butler of Los Lunas, NM, Trevor, Dillon and Conner Coffey of Belen. The family would like to give a special thank you to all the caregivers at Senior Living Systems. She was loved and well taken care of. All services will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel, beginning with a viewing on Monday, January 11, at 12:30 p.m. with a Funeral Service to be held at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Boyd Morerod officiating.
