Obituary for ARCHULETA

Jose Abenicio Archuleta, 77, a resident of Albuquerque, NM went home to be with the Lord on January 9, 2010. Mr. Archuleta is survived by his wife, Rose, children, Gilbert Archuleta, Lorenzo Archuleta and wife, Lorraine, Ernest Archuleta and wife, Emily, Joann Garcia and husband, Frank, Orlando Archuleta; the mother of his children, Mary Zamora; brother, Eugenio Archuleta and wife, Matilda; twin sisters, Cecilia Padilla and Mena Medina; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mr. Archuleta was preceded in death by his daughter, Della; granddaughter, Destiny; parents and many of his brothers and one sister. Mr. Archuleta was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman Third Class and barber. Mr. Archuleta was a life time member of the Los Lunas, NM VFW Post. Mr. Archuleta worked for Manuel's Barber Shop and Kirtland Air Force Base "Que Pasa" Barber Shop, Larry's Barber Shop, and Chano's Barber Shop in Los Lunas, NM. Visitation will be Monday, January 11, 2010, in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 4:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 5:00 p.m. by Doris Nunez. Final visitation will be Tuesday, January 12, 2010, in the Chapel at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith NE, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with Communion Service to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his nephew, Robert DeLeon and grandchildren, David, Isaac, Lorenzo, Abenicio, Michael and Lucas.
