James W. (Jim) age 85 passed away December 11, 2009. Jim was born April 12, 1924 in Frankfort, Indiana. After serving in the Army in Europe, Jim met his soon to be wife Betty while attending Purdue and they married in 1948. He graduated from Purdue with a Bachelor of Science degree and from MIT with a Master of Science degree. Jim enjoyed a 37 year career at Sandia National Labs. He was preceded in death last year by his wife of 61 years, Betty L Sims. Jim lovingly cared for her during her long struggle with Parkinson's disease and, together, they leave 3 children; Ed, Vicki and Barry, as well as 5 grandchildren. Ed's children: Nate, Jeff, Clara, and Barry's children: Jessica and Amanda. Jim's cremains will be interred, with those of his beloved wife Betty, in the columbarium at the Veteran's National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM.
