Obituary for MCCANN

Violet "Vi" McCann, 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1951, passed away Monday, December 28, 2009. She leaves behind her husband of 58 years, Richard "Dick" McCann; children Cynthia McCann, Richard McCann and wife Jamie, Jeffrey McCann and wife Anne, Deborah McCann, and Kathleen Lowe and husband Daniel; and grandchildren Jason Wolf and wife Sara, David Wolf, Logan O'Holleran, Ryan McCann, Emily Lowe, Makayla McCann, and Alexander Lowe. Mrs. McCann was a longtime member of Central United Methodist Church. Vi was an award winning artist. She was a charter member of the New Mexico Watercolor Society and served twice as president of the New Mexico Chapter of the National League of American Pen Women. Mrs. McCann co-owned the Pinon Tree Gallery in Old Town. A service will be held, Saturday, January 2 at 10:00 am at French - University Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd N.E. She will be greatly missed. French 1111 University Blvd. NE (505) 843-6333
