Ramona Salazar, born January 28, 1929 in Albuquerque, NM passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at the age of 80. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin; and sons, Charley and Isidor. Ramona is survived by her borther, Eddie Chavez and wife, Emma; sisters, Gracial Armijo and husband Gilbert, Janet (Pila) Lucero and husband, Fidel, Marie Chavez and husband Ralph; and brother-in-law, Joe Salazar and wife, Amy; children, Ray Salazar, Bob Salazar, Theresa Garcia and husband, Freddy, Benny Salazar and wife, Esther, Roseann Jaramillo, Michael Herrera and special friend, Carl Sparks; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and other family and friends who loved her and will miss her. Ramona was a parishioner of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Services will be held at Queen of Heaven Parish 5311 Phoenix Ave. NE in Albuquerque, NM. A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. A Rosary will be recited directly after the Viewing at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE. Pallbearers will be Ray Salazar, Benny Salazar, Ray Jr. Salazar, Joseph Jaramillo, Freddy Garcia, and Michael Herrera.
