Bob May, (James Robert), 83, long time resident of Albuquerque, went to be with our Lord on Monday, December 21, 2009. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Anna H. May; sons, Jim May and Charlie May and his wife Kelly, and extended family, The Holts: Bob and Kay, Kevin, Chuck and Kerry, and Garrett, Lindsey, and Travis. Bob grew up in Winnsboro, LA and graduated from Louisiana College in 1947. Bob then moved to Albuquerque in 1949. He met and married Anna in Albuquerque where they raised their family. He retired in 1990 from Albuquerque Public Schools after a long career as the Director of Payroll Services. Bob was a charter member of Sandia Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, and Church Treasurer for 23 years. He will be remembered as a quiet home loving man and will be dearly missed. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, Tuesday, December 22, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place at Sandia Baptist Church, 9429 Constitution NE, 87112 with burial following at Sunset Memorial Park 924 Menaul NE.
