Ashley Elaine Forsythe, age 20, was born May 10, 1989 and passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 18, 2009 in a fatal car accident. She is survived by her mother and father, Christine and Rod Forsythe; her sister, Danisha Goldberg; brother in-law, Brad Goldberg and their son Deegan; grandmothers, Joyce Yasm and Ellen Littig. Ashley is also lovingly missed by aunts and uncles, Karen and Raymond Shelton, Linda and Jim Ogeron; cousins, Robert and Cory Shelton, Shawn, Tara and their daughter Shayla Shelton. A Constant inspiration for her friends and family, Ashley was an accomplished member of the New Covenant Church. Ashley graciously volunteered for many worthy causes, such as Look Good Feel Better Program for woman with cancer and St. Baldrick's for children with cancer. Ashley spent much of her spare time feeding the homeless and always enjoyed giving back to the less fortunate. Ashley graduated from Eldorado High School in 2007 where she was a member of the National Honor Society, choir and chess club. Ashley was an extemporary student who was a junior attending UNM studying geology, while also working at the US Geological Survey, with the dreams of working with volcanoes in the future. When not spending time with friends and family or not in church, Ashley enjoyed reading, drawing and hunting for rocks. Ashley recently joined Adventure Crew 11 and was looking forward to her first caving trip. Ashley loved to travel and spent time in Hawaii, Greece and Italy. Ashley had aspirations of traveling all over the world studying rocks and volcanoes. Ashley was a spiritual individual who dedicated her life to the Lord. The celebration of Ashley's life will be held at First Christian Church, 10101 Montgomery Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111, on Wednesday, December 23, 2009, 6:00 pm.
