Jennie Baldonado, a resident of Belen, NM, passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, December 21, 2009. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Jennie was born in Abo, NM, to the late Santos and Ascencion (Esquivel) Carrillo. She was a graduate of Albuquerque High School. Jennie met and married the love of her life, Hernandez Baldonado. They settled in Los Padillas to raise their family on the land that Jennie's parents had given them. Santos and Ascencion were affectionately known as Papa and Mama. Jennie and Hernandez moved to Belen in 1971, where he worked for the AT & SF Railroad and they finished raising all their youngest children. She was a very patient and loving person. The family knew they could go to her for whatever they needed. Her arms were always open. Jennie had a wonderful sense of humor and was making every one laugh even at the very end. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hernandez Baldonado; son, Lawrence Baldonado; two brothers, Audillio and Raymond "Tito"; Carrillo; one sister, Mary Moya; and several brothers and sisters-in-law. Jennie is survived by her six loving children, Gladys Sanchez and husband, James, Marccella Chavez and husband, Eloy, Evelyn Deyes and husband, Ricardo Montoya, Ernie Baldonado, Peggy Jaramillo and companion, Alex Gonzales and Joseph Baldonado. and companion, Candy Brahnam; daughter-in-law, Cathy Baldonado; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and her six loving siblings, Lina Padilla, Angie Marino and husband, Joe, Carlos Carrillo, Bennie Sanchez, Santos Carrillo, Jr. and wife, Mercy and Shirley Vallejos. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. All services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, beginning with a viewing on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. and a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. A final visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Bosque Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Anthony, Lawrence and Jason Baldonado, Luke and Jonas Jaramillo, Ray and Brandon Baca and Brandon Montiel.
