Vera Elsie Miller Lawson passed away on Monday December 14, 2009. Vera was born in Edwardsville, Illinois on September 12, 1920. She was preceded in death by her father, Louis J. Lawson; and mother, Emma Oettel Lawson. Vera is survived by her sister, Marilyn Vieth of Glen Carbon, Illinois; her son, Guy Lawson and wife Sue; and her daughter, Janice Wright and husband Mike Shaw. Vera has five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Vera was retired for 27 years and previously worked as a medical secretary. She was a kind and loving sister, mother and grandmother. Over the years, Vera enjoyed her affiliation with the Albuquerque Bridge Club. When Vera left bridge she was just two points away from becoming a "Life Master". In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic Charities at 505-724-4621. Vera will be cremated laid to rest with her Mother and Father in Edwardsville, Illinois.
