Albert Niemeyer Jr. of Albuquerque passed away Saturday, December 12, 2009. Albert was born in Dearborn County, Indiana to Albert B. Sr. and Fanny (Libbert) Niemeyer. Albert proudly served his country in the U. S. Army as a commissioned officer and was a decorated World War II veteran. He worked for the Atomic Energy Commission which later became the Department of Energy. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy; children Patricia Braaten, Pamela Olson, Margaret Cole and Stephen Niemeyer. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
