Elsie Mae Wohlford Emig, 89, of Albuquerque, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2009. She was born in Bath Township, Ohio on May 31, 1920. In 1940 she married Frank R. Emig and celebrated 63 years with him. He left her to be with God in July 2003, and she has gone to be with him to continue her life. They had three children, Frank R. Emig, II, Dee E. Slenes and Elizabeth A. Emig. Her son preceded her in death in 2004. Elsie filled her life with her family, eventually welcoming grandchildren; Shawn Slenes, Chad Slenes, Heather (Emig) Brano, Kenneth Emig, Katherine (Emig) Piper, and Kevin Emig. Later, they were pleased to have eleven great-grandchildren enter their lives and family. She was loved by her family and will be missed by everyone. The family wishes to request that in lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer's Association New Mexico Chapter, 9500 Montgomery Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111 or to a charity of your choice. A memorial service celebrating Elsie's life will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Chester T. French Memorial Chapel, Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE.
