Mary M . Backstrom, 89, died November 28, 2009. A longtime resident of Albuquerque Mary is survived by her children, Stanley H. Anthony and wife Joann, Scott A. Anthony and wife Karen; step-children, Kent Backstrom, Doug Backstrom and Lynn Shull; ten grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several other family and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Bob; her daughter Geri White; and one grandson Michael Anthony. Services will be Friday, 10:30 am, December 4, 2009 at Monterey Baptist Church, 12501 Lomas Blvd. NE, with private burial to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit French Lomas Chapel, Thursday 4:00-6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Baptist Children's Home, 2200 S Ave., Portales, NM. 88130.
