Obituary for ARMIJO

Francisco Teodoro "Ted" Armijo, a lifetime resident of Alameda, passed away at home at the age of 93 on Monday, November 16, 2009 surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Angelina Alarid Armijo; his children, Frank Armijo (wife Patsy), Ronnie Armijo (wife Haleen), Gina Olivas (husband Ron), and Roseann Hoisington. Ted's descendants consist of 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Ted graduated from Albuquerque High School and then went on to serve in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He worked in various fields including real estate and agriculture and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years of service. He was a parishioner of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Alameda and an active volunteer participating in many church committees including: a member of the parish council, church celebrations, school building campaign, a member of the Holy Name Society, and was a well known usher for many years. Ted's greatest love was God and his family. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass led by Bishop Arthur Tafoya on Saturday, November 21, 2009, at 12:00 Noon at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. N. E.
