Ann Witt, age 61, a resident of Los Lunas, NM, peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones on, Friday, November 13, 2009. Ann was born in Elk City, OK, to Roland Jarnagin and Lorita Johnson. Her family moved to New Mexico when she was a child and settled in Gallup, NM. She graduated from Gallup High School and married Chris Witt in 1968. Ann raised her three children and worked in the school system. They moved in 1987 to Los Lunas, where she worked at the Bosque Farms Elementary School cafeteria. She spent the past ten years caring for her three grandchildren. Ann was a member of Living Water Fellowship in Belen. She was known for her loving and generous heart, bright smile and her powerful faith in God. Ann took the word of God seriously and spent her life living it. Her family and her church family were her heart. Everyone knew that she loved to laugh and was up for any activity from blowing bubbles with her grandchildren to hiking El Morro Monument to having high tea. She was preceded in death by her father, Roland Jarnagin. Ann is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Chris Witt of Los Lunas; three children, Melissa Sais and husband, Jerry of Los Lunas, Jeremy Witt of Albuquerque, and Amanda Evey and husband, Chris of Las Cruces, NM; three grandchildren, Alex, Isabella and Dominic Sais; mother, Lorita Johnson of Elk City, OK; and sister, Jane Rippetoe and husband, J.B. of Carter, OK. A viewing will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service to be held at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Nivin Drybrough officiating. Interment will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery.
