Obituary for DOW

Mary Ada Dow, 86, a resident of Albuquerque, since 1946, passed away on November 13, 2009. Mary was born in Opal, Arkansas on September 15, 1923 to Karl and Dove (Lackey) Cross. She was married to Art (Arthur L.) Dow for more than 35 years and was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers; and two sisters. Mary is survived by her loving daughters, Jennie Lowry and her husband Dayne and Reon Dow; grandchildren, Zachary Dow, Dayna Patrick and her husband, Joseph, Sandra Lowry and boyfriend, Shane Rodriguez; great-grandchildren, Camryn Lowry and Sherry Patrick; two sisters, Betty Hughes and her husband Ed and LaRue Lawrence and her husband Bill; and her brother, Bill Cross and his wife June. Mary served in the U.S. Army as a WAC during World War II. After she came home, she became a homemaker and raised her children. She was very active as a Camp Fire leader. Mary was very bright and was just as feisty as she was happy. She never slowed down and was always on the go. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Daniels Family Funeral Services Carlisle Chapel. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, November 19th at 11:00 a.m. at Sandia Memory Gardens Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Dayne Lowry, Joseph Patrick, Bill Cross, Iggy Cordova, Shane Rodriguez, Roy Dow and Zachery Dow.
