Guadalupe Maes Sanchez (Lupe), 81, Patriarch of the family and a life long resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away Friday, November 13, 2009 Mr. Sanchez is survived by his two sons, Bobby Maes Sanchez and Jeff Maes Sanchez; his two sisters, Loretta Ortega and husband, Rudy and Della Gutierrez and husband, Celso; his grandson, B. Robert Maes; the mother of his grandson, Elisabeth Staub; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Sanchez was preceded in death by his wife, Connie B. Sanchez; his son, Guadalupe Maes Sanchez Jr., his parents, Frank Maes and Rebecca Sanchez; his siblings, Frank Sanchez Jr., Louie Sanchez, Timmie Pacheco, Annie Forester and Eutimia Sanchez. Mr. Sanchez was a member of the Catholic Church, he was a veteran of the US Army having served during WW II. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 18, 2009, from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be at the Church on Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Pallbearers are Randy Ortega, Louie Sanchez, Steven Gutierrez, Dino Pacheco, Julian Hernandez and Steven Arias. Honorary Pallbearers are Joe Silva, Frank Sanchez, Ryan Ortega and Rudy Ortega Jr. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by: Gabaldon Mortuary 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW 243-7861
