Obituary for DISANTI

Johnny L. "Papa" DiSanti, born on July 4, 1927 in Pueblo, Colorado, slipped away Tuesday, November 10, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 58 1/2 years, Patty; sons, Rocky of Albuquerque, David and wife Debbie of Albuquerque, Danny and wife Trisha of Torrance, CA; daughters, Lesley Haney and husband Tim of Mission Viejo, CA, Vickie Robertson and husband Rich of Albuquerque, and Rose Anna of Albuquerque. Papa is also survived by his granddaughters, Gina Lance and husband Jeff of Mission Viejo, Ca, Michele Connors and husband Matt of Sandia Park, NM; grandsons, Josh Haney and wife Carla of Chula Vista, CA, Nick Robertson and wife Theresa of Albuquerque, Rocky Robertson of Albuquerque, Doug DiSanti of Torrance, CA, and Daniel DiSanti of Torrance, CA; great- grandsons, Daniel and Aiden Connors, Noah and Adam Lance and Devin Poole; and great- granddaughters, Maycie Robertson, Jayly Poole and Brooke Robertson. Johnny is also survived by his sisters, Louise Shank and RoseMarie Miller of Albuquerque and his brother Ed DiSanti of Pueblo, Co. as well as numerous other family members and good friend Bill Rivera. He was preceded in death by his parents Rocky and Vera Rose DiSanti, and his mother-in-law Goldie Mitchell. Mr. DiSanti was a line driver, retiring from Consolidated Freightways in 1989, after more than 30 years and 3 million safe driving miles. Johnny served in the Army Air Corps in the occupation of Japan, on the crew of the Dixie Dude "fastest plane in Japan". Cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life will take place on Sunday. Contact the family for more information.
