Lala Mirabal, 81, a resident of Moriarty, NM passed away on November 10, 2009, at home with her loving family at her side. Ms. Mirabal is survived by her children, Ruben Martinez and Fiancee, Gayle, Sandra Lucero and husband, Art, Henry Martinez and wife, Helen, Joe Martinez, and Juan Martinez Jr.; her sisters, Nora Marquez, and Alice Mirabal; 18 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and many other extended family members. Ms. Mirabal was preceded in death by four of her sons. Lala was a member of the Catholic Church. Vistation will be Friday, November 13, 2009, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at San Mateo Catholic Church, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Pete and Lydia Chavez. Final visitation will be at the Church on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Father Ray Mahlmann, presider. Interment will follow at San Mateo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Leroy Martinez, Michael Anaya, Alvin Martinez, Arthur Lucero, Juan Martinez Jr., and Leonard Martinez.
