Clara Russell, age 78, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2009 in Placitas, NM. She was born to George and Mary Roesch in Brooklyn, NY. Clara was a wonderful mother and grandmother who always put her family first. She was always so playful with her grandchildren and great-grandson even to the very end; she always found time to play with them. Clara had a resilent zest for life and always had a positive attitude. Clara is survived by her two sons, Joseph Russell and wife, Laurie and Michael Russell; six grandchildren and one great-grandson, Kyle Russell. She is also survived by two sisters, Margaret Maietta and Shirley Koehler. Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley N. Russell. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Monterey Baptist Church, 12501 Lomas Blvd, NE Albuquerque, NM (505) 294-7679. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit on Monday, November 9, 2009 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at French ~ Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd NE . There will also be a one hour visitation prior to services on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Monterey Baptist Church.
