Ted F. Arellanes, Artist, passed away, Thursday, November 5, 2009, after a brief illness. Survivors include his wife, Ginny; mother, M. Eloise Arellanes; sister, Hendra L. Marciani; many relatives and loyal pets. Ted graduated from North Valley High School and the City College of San Francisco. He worked for Fred Harvey in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Ted and Ginny own G. T. Stained Glass and Tin Works. After years of designing stained glass, he revived the traditional Hispanic Craft of Tinsmithing in 1991. His work hangs in the University of New Mexico Bookstore, University of New Mexico Zimmerman Library, La Fonda, Garduno's and Teofilo's Restaurants, the National Hispanic Cultural Center, The Roy E. Disney Performing Arts Center, in many Tanoan homes, and other private residences. He participated in Spanish Market and taught Continuing Education classes at the University of New Mexico and the College of Santa Fe. No services are scheduled.
