Glen Alden Smith, 80, passed away, Saturday, October 31, 2009. He was born February 12, 1929 in Albuquerque a son of Roy Lilburn and Beryl Marie Fitzjarrald Smith. He retired from General Electric after 40 years of dedicated service. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include one son and one daughter; Gary A. and his wife, Barbara Smith of Rio Rancho; Carolyn A. Holder, Fairview, OR; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie and her husband, Bill Harvey, Albuquerque, Anita and her husband, Lee Purdam, San Angelo, TX. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret Adell Smith; one brother, Lilburn. A visitation will be held Friday, November 6, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary - Westside Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW. Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens.
