Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Thursday November 05, 2009

Elizabeth (Beth) Ann Miller died, peacefully, in her sleep, Monday, November 2, 2009, at home, following a valiant struggle, for several years, with cancer. Beth was born in Denver, CO, to Tom Ross Carroll, a Veterinarian, and Lillie Elizabeth. Beth graduated NMSU in La Cruces with a degree in Health Science. For over 20-years, she worked as Head Dietician for UNM's Children's Psychiatric Hospital; and, most recently, as Student Nutritional Specialist for Cooperative Education Services. Beth loved people; crafts; scapbooking; sewing; and made handmade cards (which she often sent to others to encourage them). A member of Rio Grande Presbyterian Church for 23-years, she served in many capacities; and was also very active in the Rio Grande Food Project. She is survived by daughter, Jessica, her husband, Jeremy, their children, Kaden and Gage; his children, Keith and Austin; son, Scott, and his wife, Sara, their four children Destiny, Anthony, Angel, Devin; her sister, Helen Patricia Carroll; and former husband, James Arnold Miller. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 6, 2009, 11:00 a.m., at Rio Grande Presbyterian Church (600 Coors Blvd. NW, 1-mile s. of I-40). A light luncheon reception will follow. In lieu of cut flowers, the family requests donations of living flowers and/or contributions to the Rio Grande Food Project (located at the church).
