Willard H. Schroeder, age 92, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, October 24, 2009. He was born June 10, 1917 in Wisconsin and was a veteran of World War II where he served in the US Army in Africa and Europe. He attended Art School and moved to this family in 1962. Willard worked as a paint foreman and was an artist, sculptor, and inventor. He ministered and attended Redeemer Lutheran Church. Willard is survived by his son, David Schroeder and his partner, Leah Lumley; and other family and friends who loved and will miss him. A Memorial Service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 210 Alvarado Dr. SE on Friday, October 30, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will then take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St, NW, ABQ, 87107. 505-343-8008.
