Obituary for MAY

Paul Charles May, 38, died Sunday, October 25, 2009. Mr. May was a beloved husband, son, and brother. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis May and his sister, Lynn Gallo, both of New Mexico. He is survived by his wife, Melanie Renee Taylor May; father, Robert F. May, Command Master Chief (R) and Penny May, step-mother; sisters, Diane May, Command Sergeant Major and Laurie Burkholder; and a brother-in-law, Jose Gallo (USMC) and two nephews, Brian and Robert Gallo. He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Veda and Walt Johnson; sisters and brothers-in-law and their children, Steve, Stefanie and Caroline Strickland, Tisha Brookshire, Colton Brookshire and Tori Vasquez, and Gary and Veda Pelham. He was employed by the State of Alabama by the State Health Planning and Development Agency. Mr. May enjoyed hunting and working in his yard. Most of all, Mr. May enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be sorely missed by their dogs and cats. He served in the first Gulf War Desert Storm in the Navy aboard the Battleship USS Missouri. A Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 29, 2009 with the Memorial Service at 11:00 AM at Leak-Memory Chapel in Montgomery, Alabama with Rev. Spencer Turnipseed, Aldersgate UMC officiating. Honorary Pallbearers are Alva Lambert, James Sanders, Clark Bruner, Debbie Lutz, Brad Williams, Tom Samford, Scott Morris, and Rance Bentley. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by the Service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the Northwest Baptist Church, 402 San Clemente NW, Albuquerque, with Pastor Scott Snyder presiding.
