Barbara Benavidez, 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 25, 2009. She is survived by her sons, Robert Benavidez and wife, Elaine, and Esequiel Lesperance; daughters, Mary Trevino and husband, Jose, and Cecilia Tenorio; brother, Pete Padilla; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Benavidez will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Salazar & Sons Mortuary from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at St. Edwin Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery.
