Jacobo Chavez, age 82, a native of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on October 21, 2009. He was a devoted father and husband, a WWII veteran and faithful member of Immaculate Conception Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Emma, daughter Barbara, and sons; David and Richard, his parents, two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his children; Elizabeth and husband Joe Duran, Charles and wife Viola, Steve, Ana, Antoinette and husband Joshua Garcia, Joan and husband Ernest A. Navarrete, and Claire, 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three sisters; Candy and husband Bill Zamora, Mary Lou Limoncelli and Lupe Latta, two brothers; Marcos and Roy and wife Esther. Visitations will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Garcia Mortuary. The Rosary will be recited at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper Ave. NW on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., with Burial following at Pajarito Cemetery.
