Jose M. Gurule, 73, passed away on October 18, 2009. He was born March 13, 1936, in Golden, New Mexico, to Bences & Libradita Gurule. Jose is survived by his wife of 48 years, Phyllis Gurule; his children, Sid (Peggy), of Ohio, D. Gloria, of Albuquerque, NM, Debra (James), of Los Lunas, NM, and Veronica, of San Antonio, TX; five grandchildren, Daniel (Jen), Gary, Aaron, Cody, and Lauren; two great grandchildren, Joshua and Elizabeth; his siblings, Julia, Sinfa, and Albert; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members. Jose was a lifetime resident of New Mexico. He enjoyed working in the garden and on his family home. Jose was a simple man with a big heart. A Rosary will be held Thursday, October 22, 2009, at 7:00 p.m., at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Wyoming Chapel. A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, October 23, 2009, at 9:00 a.m., at St Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd NE. A Private Ennichement will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery, with honors. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in memory of Jose to Vista Care Hospice, 5639 Jefferson, 87109.
