Obituary for HAMILTON

Paul Hamilton was born September 25, 1919 in Pharr, TX, the son of Arthur and Lucy Hamilton. Paul was the third child of nine. He went to be with his Lord September 29, 2009 at his home in Bosque Farms, NM, at the age of 90. He is survived by his wife, Joveta; his children Curtis Hamilton of Camp Verde, AZ; Uleta Hamilton of Albuquerque, NM; John Hamilton and wife, Martha of Broken Arrow, OK; and Marvin Hamilton and wife, KC of Albuquerque, NM; ten grandsons - four with families, and two granddaughters and their families; and ten great-grandchildren; two brothers JW Hamilton and wife, Ernestine of Corrales, NM; and Jack Hamilton and wife, Louise of CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and five sisters. He married Joveta Sarah (Ingram) Hamilton on November 10, 1945. This November would have been their 64th Anniversary. Hamilton was a WWII Veteran and served in the Army Air Corp., stationed in Puerto Rico and Guam. He was a gifted machinist who retired from Sandia Laboratories after 35 years, who was also a craftsman, talented in woodworking. In 1957 Paul & his wife bought a home in Bosque Farms where they lived for 52 years. Paul accepted Jesus as his Savior at the age of 15 and was baptized. His faith only grew through the years. He was never shy about sharing his faith. He is remembered by countless people as the one who invited me to church, or the one who told me about Jesus. Through the years he served in numerous leadership roles and was instrumental in starting five churches in the valley. Service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2009, at 10:00 a.m., French - Westside Chapel. Reception will follow immediately after service. Interment will take place in Corona, NM.
