Demecio "DJ" Lueras, 84, a longtime resident of Belen passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Trudy Lueras; daughters, Barbara Caspi and Esther Lueras; granddaughter, Debbie Romero; great-granddaughter, Monique Romero; brothers, Gene, Abel, Ernest and Vernal Lueras; and many special friends and neighbors. DJ's gentle, quiet spirit will be greatly missed. A funeral will be celebrated on Monday, October 19, 2009, 11:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Friends and family may visit Mr. Lueras one hour prior to service time.
