Joseph N. DiMarco, Ph.D., of Albuquerque passed away on October 4, 2009, at his home. He was born in New York City on September 28, 1935, and was married to Fran DiMarco for 46 years. He received a Doctorate in Physics from Stevens Institute of Technology. A Fellow of the American Physical Society, the majority of his professional career was spent at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Joe enjoyed hiking, fishing, trap shooting, traveling, and as a young man, car racing. He served as Los Alamos County Chair of the Republican Party and on the County's Planning and Zoning Commission. Joe and Fran moved to Albuquerque in 1998. An active supporter of the YMCA, he was also a member of the Zia Rifle Club. Joe was a loving and generous husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is also survived by daughters Joann Rosinski, Donna Holland and husband Daniel, and Leah DiMarco; grandchildren Alex Rosinski, Erica Rosinski, Lauren Holland and Lindsey Holland.
